Cathy Kolb, B.S. (Western Kentucky); M.A. (Austin Peay University); Ed.S. (Austin Peay), has practiced her passion as an educator for over 30 years in Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Germany, and as an adjunct faculty member of Austin Peay State University. She has empowered students and other educators to recognize their potential and achieve their goals. Cathy, along with colleagues from Montgomery County, organized the local chapter in Clarksville in 2001, and she currently serves as the local president.

In 2011 the local chapter in Montgomery County led the vote initiative to afford Professional Educators of Tennessee a seat at the collaborative conferencing table with the school board.

Cathy has also been instrumental in the growth of the Parent Information Network (PIN). PIN is a grassroots organization that helps advance reforms in education in Montgomery County. The group has grown from six members to 3,500 over the past 10 years.

She has served on the PET Board of Directors since 2001, and is currently serving as the statewide president during this unprecedented period of growth in our organization. She is also presently serving as the Clarksville-Montgomery County representative for PET with the SCORE Evaluation Work Team as it studies the new evaluation system and how best to improve the process.

She is a steadfast supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project, Friends of the Library, and is involved in her church while sitting on various committees and as a member of the choir. Cathy has twice been a Tennessee Teacher of the Year representative.

Cathy presently teaches special education at Moore Magnet STEM Elementary in Clarksville. She and her husband, Dennis, live in Clarksville.
